Industry Specific ComplianceThe Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority (KRERA) on February 07, 2026, issued a circular regarding imposing a penalty for delay in submission/non-submission of Quarterly Updates for financial years from the financial year 2017-18 till completion of Quarter-4 of the financial year 2024-25.

The following has been stated: -

•Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority issued a circular imposing penalties for delay or non-submission of Quarterly Updates by promoters from FY 2017-18 to FY 2024-25.

•Promoters are required to submit quarterly project updates within prescribed timelines under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act and Rules.

•A penalty of ₹25,000 per quarter of delay/non-submission will apply, after a final opportunity to submit pending updates without penalty until March 31, 2026.

•Penalties will be enforced from April 01, 2026, and recovery action will be initiated for non-compliance as per applicable legal provisions.
